This website is dedicated to the support of women who are currently dealing with the uterine disorder adenomyosis. This neglected disorder causes severe abdominal pain, very heavy menstrual bleeding, prolonged menstrual bleeding (8-14 days), bloating (sometimes appearing as if you are pregnant), and many other symptoms that are discussed in more detail on this site.
In addition to support, this group also promotes more education and research into the causes and treatments of this disorder. In 2015, a letter was sent to the National Institutes of Health requesting more funding for this disorder (see blog for more information). In addition, petitions have been sent out to over 30 research institutions requesting the development of more well-controlled research studies on adenomyosis.
Please click on the menu at the top of the page for more information on adenomyosis. The blog has a list of categories on the left side and is full of information on diagnostic tests, current treatments, diet tips, xenoestrogens and how to avoid them, and even patient stories. Make sure to check out my books as they have loads of information including a review of the most recent clinical studies. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
